The read

Works anywhere from north round to north-east, in both ridge and thermal lift.

Is it my level

CP plus ten hours, unless a coach signs you off.

Launch

Launch from behind the perimeter fence: by the grassy mounds on the north face, or the clear short grass on the north-east.

Landing

HG use the lower west spur on the north and the main eastern area on the NE; PG can work the front shoulder with care. Bottom fields B2 and B3 are usually in crop, Rake Meadow is always open but has a fence that catches gliders.

Getting there

Duty car park on top of the hill, cross to launch at the stiles.

The catch

The wooded bowl and tree lines throw severe turbulence, and Rake Bottom is to be avoided outright. Power lines cross the bottom fields.

Anyone heading up Saturday? Forecast's looking ON, light and straight in.

Wind's a touch strong on launch, fine once you're off and out front.

Glassy evening glass-off, best it's been all week. Top-landed easy.
